Zongshen Engine and Electronic Fuel Injection

The V8 Rider sits in the 250cc street-bike class. Its actual displacement is 223cc from a single air-cooled cylinder. The engine produces 11.5 kW (about 15.4 hp) at 7,500 rpm and 17 N·m of torque at 5,500 rpm. That torque arrives in the mid-range, so the bike pulls cleanly away from traffic lights and through city speeds without constant high revving.

Electronic fuel injection replaces the carburetor. Sensors read air temperature and density and meter fuel to match. In practice that gives you:

  • Consistent starts in cold weather
  • Crisp throttle response
  • Automatic compensation for altitude, with no re-jetting when you ride into the mountains

The sealed fuel system also keeps gasoline from going stale in the bowl between rides. That removes the most common cause of hard starting after storage.

Electric start and a 12V/9Ah battery handle ignition. The engine's alternator recharges the battery while you ride.

6-Speed Manual Transmission

The V8 Rider uses a conventional clutch lever on the left bar and a foot shifter. Six gears keep the engine in its torque band:

  • Lower gears: short ratios for stop-and-go traffic
  • Sixth gear: drops the revs for steadier cruising at highway speeds

A chain final drive delivers power to the rear wheel.

If you're learning to ride, the manual gearbox teaches clutch control on a bike with forgiving power. Those same skills carry over to larger motorcycles later.

Top Speed and Where the V8 Rider Fits

The V8 Rider tops out at 68+ mph, depending on rider weight, wind and road grade. That's comfortable for city streets, suburban roads, two-lane highways and short stretches of freeway.

For long daily commutes on high-speed interstates where traffic flows at 70–80 mph, a larger-displacement motorcycle holds speed more easily. The V8 Rider's strengths are:

  • Fuel economy
  • Easy low-speed handling
  • A long 4.75-gallon tank range between fill-ups

Brakes, Suspension, Wheels and Handling

Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear give strong, progressive stopping power. The front brake does most of the work, as on any motorcycle. The rear disc adds control on slippery surfaces and during slow-speed maneuvers.

Inverted front forks keep the front end stable under braking. The 17-inch wheels wear a 110/70 front and a wide 140/70 rear tire, which gives the bike a planted contact patch in corners.

A 55.5" wheelbase balances straight-line stability with nimble steering in traffic.

Size, Seat Height and Carrying Capacity

The V8 Rider measures 80.7" long, 28" wide and 41.7" tall. With a 31" seat height and a 305 lb dry weight, most adult riders can:

  • Reach the ground comfortably
  • Push the bike around a garage
  • Hold it upright at stops

Carrying capacity is 330 lbs total, covering the rider, the passenger and any luggage. For example, a 180 lb rider leaves 150 lbs for a passenger and gear, so plan two-up trips accordingly. The full fairing and windshield push wind off your chest at speed, which reduces fatigue on longer rides.

Riding on Public Roads

To ride the V8 Rider on public streets, you'll need what your state requires for any motorcycle:

  • A motorcycle license or endorsement
  • Registration
  • Insurance
  • A DOT-approved helmet (required in many states and recommended everywhere)

Requirements vary by state, so check with your local DMV before your first ride. New riders should take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course, which many states accept in place of the riding skills test.

The V8 Rider ships 70% assembled in a metal crate. The remaining work covers the handlebars, wheels and fluids. Final assembly and preparation should be completed by a certified motorcycle technician. Before the first ride, confirm:

  • Tire pressure
  • Brake operation
  • Chain slack
  • Oil level
  • That all lights and signals work

Every order includes:

  • Free shipping
  • Liftgate service
  • Residential delivery
  • Shipping insurance
  • A scheduled delivery appointment

Add a working phone number at checkout so the carrier can book your delivery time.

Warranty: 30 days on replacement parts. Labor, mechanic costs and returns are not covered.

California: the V8 Rider cannot be sold to or shipped to California addresses.

HHH V8 Rider: Questions Answered

Is the V8 Rider really 250cc?
It's a 250-class motorcycle with a 223cc engine, which is common for bikes marketed as 250cc. It makes 11.5 kW (about 15.4 hp) and 17 N·m of torque.

How fast does the V8 Rider go?
68+ mph at top speed, depending on rider weight, wind and road conditions. It cruises comfortably at typical highway speeds.

Can I carry a passenger?
Yes. The seat fits two, and the 330 lb capacity covers the rider, passenger and luggage combined.

Is it good for beginners?
Yes, for adult beginners willing to learn a manual clutch. The moderate power, 31" seat and 305 lb weight make it easier to manage than larger sport bikes. Take an MSF course first.

What's the advantage of EFI over a carburetor?
Easier starts, smoother throttle response, automatic altitude adjustment and no carburetor cleaning or re-jetting. The sealed system also stops fuel from going stale.

Is it street legal?
It's built as a street motorcycle with the lighting and equipment for road use. Riding on public roads requires registration, insurance and a motorcycle license or endorsement in your state.

How much assembly is needed?
It arrives 70% assembled. The handlebars, wheels and fluids remain, and a certified technician should complete the final setup.
